You might need to schedule an extra trip to the optometrist to spot the cosmetic changes that Chevy made to the Trax and Trailblazer for the 2027 model year, but both have been refreshed. Their grilles are slightly different than before, as are the headlights, which have switched from vertical to horizontal units. The taillights are new too, and they’re now linked by a piece of black trim.

Inside, the changes are easier to spot, though they’re still not drastic. The most impactful alteration is that the dashboard displays have grown to include a standard 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. In addition to the new displays, Chevy has introduced a Storm Sky Gray interior color option.

Under the bodywork, Chevy updated the electrical and software architecture for both cars, which allowed the brand to add more standard driver-assistance tech and safety features. The list of new content includes reverse automatic braking, safety seat alert, side bicyclist alert, rear cross-traffic braking, front park assist, rear seatbelt indicator, and automatic emergency braking for intersections.

Chevy also stripped away several trim levels from both cars. The Trax lineup is now limited to an entry model, an RS, and an Activ trim, while the Trailblazer includes an entry model, an RS, and is now topped with a more rugged-looking Z71 trim for the first time.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet know pricing for either subcompact SUV, but these updates could come with a small price hike. A Chevrolet spokesperson declined our request for pricing details, but they promised that “the two will continue to be the most affordable vehicles for Chevrolet.” Both the Trax and Trailblazer will start arriving at dealerships in the Spring of 2027.
