Table of Contents

Samsung announced a ton of new products at its July Unpacked event, and among them is the highly anticipated Galaxy Watch 9. Amazon currently has the 40mm model for $379.99 and the 44mm version for $409.99, down from $429.99 and $459.99, respectively, with a $50 Amazon gift card included with either size, adding a little more value to the deal.

The cellular versions are discounted as well, with the 40mm down to $429.99 from $479.99 and the 44mm down to $459.99 from $509.99—these are a better fit if you often leave your phone behind on runs, walks, or quick errands, since they can handle calls, messages, music streaming, and other connected features over a mobile network without your phone nearby.

Updates include a fitness feature that claims to measure flexibility and added durability for water sports like scuba diving. Battery life is improved, too: The 40mm model has a 390mAh battery and is rated for up to 30 hours with the always-on display enabled, while the 44mm model has a 445mAh battery. That is an increase from the Galaxy Watch 8’s 325mAh and 435mAh batteries, respectively. All said, it is not a must-have upgrade for Galaxy Watch 8 owners, but its slimmer design, brighter display, newer processor, larger batteries, and expanded health and fitness tools are all noteworthy improvements.
